 | 2010 was my first try at growing large onions. My largest was 3lb 15oz. 18" circ. Started the seeds off in December, then under lights untill the frosts had gone. No warming cables. But I didnt shade the polytunnel in this hot summer that we had, so I think I paid the cost for that. Now I have learned a lot more, maybe 2011 will be better. |
